MET 101
Technical Graphics
Foundations of engineering drawing, views, dimensioning, and the graphic language of manufacturing.
Open course site →Teaching
Courses in the Department of Engineering Technologies at Monroe Community College, State University of New York.
Instructional approach
Students in Dr. Morgan’s courses do not stop at a finished drawing. They model, assemble, print, measure, and revise. Humanoid robot projects, GD&T, and inspection equipment such as the Keyence IM-8010 Instant Measurement System give students a reason to care about fit, motion, and manufacturing constraints.

Dr. Morgan contributes to Mechanical Engineering Technology curriculum, laboratory equipment, and industry-facing program work. Laboratory instruction has used Creality 3D printers, Elephant Robotics MyBuddy 280, a myAGV compound robot logistics kit, and Keyence measurement systems so that CAD, robotics, and inspection sit in the same student experience.
Course proposals under development include industrial safety, CNC machining and CAM, additive manufacturing and reverse engineering, fluid power, automation and mechatronics, and cooperative education.
Student making continues through the MCC Maker’s Club, where students design, build, and sell.
