Applied design
CAD, degrees of freedom, GD&T, and design for manufacturing and assembly, taught through complete products rather than isolated exercises.
Monroe Community College · SUNY
Assistant Professor of Engineering Technologies. Engineer, educator, and author working at the intersection of CAD, robotics, digital manufacturing, and technician education.
Focus
Dr. Morgan teaches students to move from concept to CAD model to manufactured part. Her classroom work connects technical graphics, SolidWorks and AutoCAD, metrology, materials, and robotic systems so that graduates can design, inspect, and assemble with industrial judgment.
CAD, degrees of freedom, GD&T, and design for manufacturing and assembly, taught through complete products rather than isolated exercises.
Humanoid robot CAD, joint motion, mobile robots, and the mechanical decisions that make intelligent machines manufacturable and maintainable.
Curriculum, textbooks, and laboratory practice that close the gap between academic knowledge and real industrial work.
Appointment
Dr. Morgan serves in the Department of Engineering Technologies at Monroe Community College, a unit of the State University of New York. She teaches courses in technical graphics, computer-aided design, manufacturing processes, metrology, materials, and robotic automation, and contributes to the Mechanical Engineering Technology program.
Office: South Faculty Tower, Building 8, Room 622, Brighton Campus.
Selected textbooks
Dr. Morgan writes workbooks that make CAD, metrology, materials, dynamics, and robot design immediately usable in the laboratory and on the shop floor.
A CAD-based approach to degrees of freedom.
GD&T for engineering technicians. Written for MET 201.
Technical drawing from the ground up, using AutoCAD.
