Communicating a Design

How do we communicate a design?
If you have a design idea and want to communicate your idea to your boss, co-workers, or another department, how would you do this?
- Sketch: Used to express an idea. It is a quickly executed freehand drawing that is not intended to be a drawing of the finished part.
- Technical/Engineering Drawing: Used when you have a completed design that needs to be manufactured or used as a legal document.
- A technical drawing is a set of drawings that communicate an idea, design, schematic, or model.
- An engineering drawing is a type of technical drawing used to fully and clearly define requirements for an engineered part or system.
- Computer-aided design/drawing: Allows an engineer to create 3D models of their design ideas.
