Feature Dimensions
Different types of features require unique methods of dimensioning.
- If space is at a minimum, the size and location of a radii may be given by using a false center and jogged dimensions.
- Solid parts that have rounded ends are dimensioned by giving their overall dimensions.
- If the ends are partially rounded, the radii are also given.
- For fully rounded ends, the radii are indicated but the value is not given.
- Slots are dimensioned by giving their overall dimensions. Or, by giving the overall width and the distance between centers. The radii are indicated but the value is not given.
